Refund and Returns Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return an item, please follow the process below or contact support@astrogear.co.za for assistance.

1. Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns under one of the following conditions:

  • The product is defective, damaged, or incorrect.
  • The product is unused, in original packaging, and returned within 7 days of delivery.

Change-of-mind returns are only accepted at our discretion and may be subject to a 5% restocking fee.

2. How to Request a Return

To request a return, please contact us at support@astrogear.co.za with:

  • Your order number.
  • A brief description of the issue.
  • Photos if the item is damaged or incorrect.

We will guide you through the return process.

3. Refunds

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • Refunds are processed via the original payment method (PayFast/PayGate) or by EFT if required, typically within 2–5 business days after approval.

4. Return Shipping

  • If the return is due to a defect or our error, we will cover the return shipping costs.
  • If returning for any other reason, you will be responsible for return shipping.

5. Non-Returnable Items

Certain products cannot be returned, including:

  • Opened or used filters.
  • Custom or special-order items.
  • Clearance or discounted items (unless faulty).
