The Sky Rover 108SAP is a 108mm f/4.8 specialist astrograph built around an air-spaced quintuplet Petzval APO design. With a native flat field and a large 55mm usable image circle, it is designed to support medium-format astrophotography without the need for a separate field flattener.
One of the standout strengths of the 108SAP is its naturally flat field. The Petzval optical design corrects field curvature across a large image circle, making it a strong choice for wide-field imaging with larger sensors where corner performance matters.
With a focal length of 518mm and a fast f/4.8 focal ratio, the 108SAP is built for bright, detail-rich deep-sky imaging. Its optical design combines a quintuplet layout with specialty glass elements to deliver sharp, well-corrected images in a compact astrograph format.
The telescope features a 3.7-inch dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser with 35mm of effective travel. Sky Rover also integrates a compound focal plane adjuster that allows both tilt adjustment and camera rotation, helping users fine-tune sensor alignment and framing without adding more adapters into the imaging train.
The 108SAP uses a CNC-machined aluminum alloy tube and includes tube rings, a handle, and a Losmandy-style dovetail plate for a stable mounting platform. The retractable dew shield keeps the telescope more compact for transport, while the overall system is designed for clean integration with larger cameras and accessories.
