The Sky Rover 130 APO is a 130mm f/7 apochromatic refractor designed to deliver strong optical performance, solid mechanical quality, and the flexibility to serve both visual observers and astrophotographers. Its three-element air-spaced APO design includes ED glass for improved colour correction and high-contrast image quality.
With its 130mm aperture and 910mm focal length, the 130 APO offers the light-gathering power and resolution needed for lunar, planetary, and deep-sky observing, while still being well suited to more detailed imaging work. The tilt-adjustable objective assembly also allows for precise collimation when fine tuning the telescope for demanding applications.
The two-section tube design makes the 130 APO especially versatile. A removable 100mm extension section allows the telescope to adapt more easily to different accessory combinations, including binoviewers, erecting prisms, and astrophotography equipment.
The telescope is equipped with a 2.5-inch dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser with a 10:1 fine focus reduction, offering precise manual control and compatibility with many motor focusers. The rear of the focuser provides an M63x1 thread, a standard 2-inch interface, and a 2-inch to 1.25-inch adapter for convenient accessory use.
The optical tube is CNC machined from aluminum alloy and uses multiple internal baffles together with an anti-reflective focuser design to help suppress stray light. Sky Rover also includes tube rings, a handle, and a standard dovetail plate with multiple mounting points for accessories such as guide scopes, mini PCs, or astronomy controllers.
