The Sky Rover 155 mm F/8 GPS is a premium large-aperture apochromatic refractor designed for users who want strong visual performance together with a more capable imaging platform. With its 155 mm aperture, 1240 mm focal length, and triplet optical design, it is aimed at observers and imagers who want more reach, more light-gathering power, and a more substantial mechanical system.
The optical system uses an air-spaced triplet apochromatic design with a Super ED glass element to help control chromatic aberration and maintain strong image quality. Sky Rover positions the 155 GPS as part of its higher-end GPS line, with the optical layout and long focal ratio making it especially appealing for lunar, planetary, and deep-sky work.
One of the standout features of the 155 GPS is its detachable extension tube, which makes it easier to configure the telescope for different accessories, including binoviewers. Sky Rover also offers the telescope in a standard configuration or in photography bundles with either a 1x flattener or a 0.8x specialist reducer.
The telescope is fitted with a new-design 3.7-inch dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser together with an integrated CAA to provide a steadier imaging frame. Sky Rover also uses three tube rings, with the third ring adding balance and movement support, and includes both Losmandy- and Vixen-standard dovetail compatibility for more flexible mounting.
