The Sky Rover 70 APO PRO F/6 is a compact apochromatic refractor built around a classic air-spaced triplet optical design with a Super ED glass element. It is designed to deliver strong control of chromatic and spherical aberration while remaining small, lightweight, and easy to integrate into both visual and imaging setups.
Sky Rover describes the 70 APO PRO as a rigorously tested optical system, with inspection methods including artificial star testing and laser interferometry. The goal is excellent correction and dependable image quality, even at higher magnifications.
The 2024 version replaces the earlier lens ring and bracket structure with classic dual mounting rings for better stability, especially for deep-sky astrophotography. Sky Rover also applies extensive weight reduction to the rings and CNC narrow dovetail plate, helping the telescope stay compact and agile without giving up structural strength.
One of the standout features of this model is the rear-mounted CAA field rotator. It is integrated into the optical tube assembly, includes angle markings for precise framing, and is designed to provide a smoother and more stable user experience when adjusting imaging orientation.
The mini carrying handle also serves as an accessory mounting platform for items such as guide scopes or astronomy control boxes. For imaging, the optional dedicated 1× field flattener is designed for APS-C format use and connects via the rear M54 x 0.75 thread provided by the CAA.
