Integrated CAA
The four-element Petzval design integrates field correction into the optical train, delivering a native 45 mm image circle suitable for full-frame sensors at prime focus. Having correction built in keeps the system compact and avoids the need for a separate flattener in many imaging setups.
The OTA includes a 2.8-inch dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser with about 29 mm of travel and an integrated CAA. The focuser is designed to accept most motor focusers. The dewshield front has reserved holes for an electric lens cover or flat-field panel, simplifying typical imaging accessories.
With a 350 mm retracted length and 434 mm extended, the tube is short and easy to transport. The OTA includes a Vixen-style dovetail and a handle, making mounting and carrying straightforward for field use while keeping total OTA weight near 4 kg.
The aperture is 70 mm and the focal length is 350 mm, giving an f/5 focal ratio.
