The Sky Rover 76SAP is a 76mm f/4.8 specialist astrograph built around an air-spaced quintuplet Petzval APO design. With a native flat field and a 45mm usable image circle, it is designed for full-frame astrophotography without requiring a separate field flattener.
One of the standout strengths of the 76SAP is its naturally flat field. Thanks to the Petzval optical design, field curvature is well corrected across large sensors, making it an excellent choice for wide-field imaging with full-frame cameras.
With a focal length of 365mm and a fast f/4.8 focal ratio, the 76SAP is built for bright, detail-rich deep-sky imaging. Its optical design is intended to deliver sharp, well-corrected stars across the frame while keeping the system compact and practical.
The telescope features a 3.3-inch dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser with 38mm of effective travel. Sky Rover also integrates a multi-function focal plane adjuster that allows both tilt adjustment and camera rotation, making it easier to fine-tune sensor alignment and framing without adding extra complexity to the imaging train.
The 76SAP uses a CNC-machined aluminum alloy tube and includes a robust accessory platform with tube rings, a carry handle, dual finder bases, and a Vixen-style dovetail plate. The retractable dew shield keeps the tube compact for transport while maintaining a clean, purpose-built layout.
