The Askar FMA180 Pro is an optimized version of the popular FMA180, designed specifically for astrophotography. With a 40mm aperture and 180mm focal length (f/4.5), this ultra-compact sextuplet astrograph delivers superior correction and flatness across a full-frame 44mm image circle.
The complex optical system features a sextuplet air-spaced APO design with three lenses in the front and three in the rear, including two ED glass elements. This configuration ensures excellent chromatic aberration control and high-quality star shapes.
Unlike its predecessor, the Pro version features an integrated stable internal focuser and a built-in 360° rotator for easy framing. It also includes a finder base slot for attaching additional accessories.
Weighing just 0.8kg and measuring 167.5mm in length, the FMA180 Pro acts as both a high-quality imaging lens and a premium finder/guider. It comes equipped with a 150mm Vixen-style dovetail plate and terminates in a standard M48x0.75 connection with 55mm back focus.
