The Askar FMA230 allows you to capture deep-sky objects with a fast f/4.6 focal ratio or observe the night sky with a crisp 50mm aperture. Its unique compound lens system features a three-element front objective (including two ED glasses) and a four-element rear reducer, creating a septuplet system that delivers excellent image quality and color correction across a full-frame sensor.
At its core is a triplet air-spaced APO objective optimized with two ED glass elements. When paired with the included 0.84x four-element reducer, it transforms into a 230mm f/4.6 astrograph. Without the reducer, it functions as a 275mm f/5.5 visual telescope compatible with 2-inch and 1.25-inch accessories.
The FMA230 is designed for portability and ease of use. It features a helical focuser for precise focusing and includes a pair of artistically pierced tube rings with lengthened stalks to provide clearance for cameras. The multifunction handle includes a finder slot and is Arca-Swiss compatible, making it easy to mount on standard photographic tripods.
