The Askar V is a highly innovative modular telescope system that acts as two telescopes in one. It features two interchangeable objective lenses—60mm and 80mm—along with a suite of dedicated correctors (reducer, flattener, and extender), allowing users to custom-configure the focal length and speed for various imaging targets.
The system includes both a 60mm and an 80mm objective, both featuring a high-quality triplet APO design with two ED glass elements for superior color correction. The V60 mode offers a 360mm focal length (f/6), while the V80 mode provides a 500mm focal length (f/6.25).
Included with the V are three dedicated correctors adjustable for use with either objective:
- V Reducer: Transforms the V60 to 270mm f/4.5 and the V80 to 384mm f/4.8 for wide-field imaging.
- V Flattener: Maintains the native focal lengths while correcting field curvature for sharp edge-to-edge stars.
- V Extender: Increases the focal length to 446mm (f/7.43) for the V60 and 600mm (f/7.5) for the V80, ideal for smaller targets.
The Askar V features a sleek ivory and silver design with high-quality CNC machining. It comes equipped with a 360° rotator, a visual back with 1.25" and 2" adapters, a multi-functional handle, and a Vixen-style dovetail plate.
