The Proxisky Powerbox Pro is an advanced power and USB distribution hub designed to simplify cable management and equipment control in astrophotography setups. Combining seven 12V DC outputs, seven USB ports, environmental monitoring and automated dew heater control in a compact enclosure, it provides a central connection point for cameras, mounts, focusers and other telescope accessories.
The Powerbox Pro features five controllable 12V DC outputs, a dedicated 12V PWM output and an additional always-on 12V output. This arrangement allows multiple accessories to be powered from a single device, reducing cable clutter and simplifying power management.
The controllable DC outputs support remote switching through Proxisky Center 2.0 or the ASCOM driver, allowing connected equipment to be powered on or off without physically accessing the telescope.
With three USB 3.1 and four USB 2.0 outputs, the Powerbox Pro provides extensive connectivity for astrophotography accessories. A USB 3.1 Type-B connection links the hub to a computer, allowing multiple devices to communicate through a single upstream USB cable.
Individual USB port control through Proxisky Center 2.0 or ASCOM provides additional flexibility for managing connected equipment remotely.
A dedicated PWM output enables adjustable dew heater operation, helping prevent condensation on telescope optics during imaging sessions. The included PWM temperature probe supports automatic dew heater control, allowing heating output to respond to temperature conditions.
The Powerbox Pro includes a temperature and humidity probe for monitoring environmental conditions around the telescope. Combined with its dedicated PWM temperature probe, the system provides useful environmental information for managing dew prevention during long imaging sessions.
The Powerbox Pro supports Proxisky Center 2.0 and an ASCOM driver, enabling integration with compatible astrophotography software such as NINA. Individual control of DC and USB ports makes it possible to manage connected devices remotely and incorporate power management into automated imaging workflows.
Built-in protection safeguards connected equipment against electrical hazards, including surges, short circuits, electrostatic discharge, reverse power, over-current, over-voltage and under-voltage conditions. Protection against excessive inrush current during equipment startup provides additional peace of mind when powering multiple devices.
Measuring just 111 x 79 x 26 mm, the Powerbox Pro features an elegantly engraved enclosure with multiple mounting options. Its compact design makes it suitable for installation directly on a telescope, mounting plate or other compatible accessory, keeping power and USB connections close to the equipment they serve.
A comprehensive selection of DC and USB cables, along with the temperature and humidity probes, is included for convenient integration into an astrophotography setup.
