The Proxisky Ragdoll Pro series offers compact strain wave gear mounts designed for astrophotographers who want a capable, portable, and modern mount platform. Available in Ragdoll 17 Pro and Ragdoll 20 Pro versions, the range gives users the flexibility to choose the payload capacity that best matches their imaging setup.
The Ragdoll 17 Pro is well suited to lighter and medium-sized imaging setups, while the Ragdoll 20 Pro offers higher payload capacity for larger or more demanding astrophotography rigs. Both models are designed to provide strong performance in a compact mount head, making them practical for both field use and fixed installations.
Both Ragdoll Pro models use strain wave gearing to deliver high torque, compact size, and reduced backlash compared with many traditional mount designs. Each mount includes a periodic error test report, with a factory-reported periodic error of ±10 arc-seconds.
The Ragdoll Pro series runs on the OnStepX control system and supports popular astronomy software platforms including NINA, ASIAIR, KStars, and more. Connectivity options include USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ST4, and the UMi Mount app, giving users flexible control options for field or observatory use.
Physical home sensors, a secondary Dec home sensor, physical RA limit protection, and RA braking help improve repeatability and safety during automated imaging sessions. These features make the Ragdoll Pro mounts suitable for users who want a more controlled and predictable imaging workflow.
Each Ragdoll Pro mount is supplied with a hard case with EVA foam and the necessary cables, helping protect the mount during transport and storage. Optional versions with a counterweight bar or Proxisky Saddle Hub are also available, depending on the selected configuration.
