High-Capacity Strain Wave Mount for Serious Imaging Rigs

The Proxisky UMi 20S is a compact, high-capacity strain wave gear mount designed for demanding astrophotography setups. With a payload range of 22-30 kg and a mount head weight of only 5.4 kg, it offers an attractive balance between portability and serious imaging capability.

Built for Precision and Reliability

The UMi 20S uses a dual-servo motor system, with a type-20 strain wave gear on the RA axis and a type-17 strain wave gear on the Dec axis. This design provides the torque and responsiveness needed for modern guided imaging, while keeping the mount compact and transportable.

Remote-Ready Operation

A mechanical home position helps the mount return to a known position reliably, making the UMi 20S well suited to remote observatories and automated imaging setups. The mount also includes a dual-axis anti-collision system designed to help protect equipment during operation.

Self-Locking Wedge and Secure Adjustment

The UMi 20S features a self-locking wedge design with dual azimuth locking and titanium alloy adjustment screws. This helps provide stable polar alignment and secure positioning, especially for heavier imaging payloads.

Flexible Connectivity

The mount supports USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, ST4, and control through the UMi Mount app. It is designed to integrate into modern astrophotography workflows, including computer-controlled imaging setups using popular astronomy software.

Portable, Protected, and Ready to Travel

The package includes the UMi 20S mount, a hard case with EVA foam, and the necessary cables, making it easier to transport and protect the mount between imaging locations.
