Expected to ship within 14 business days
The Wanderer Eclipse is a lightweight motorised dust cover designed to protect your telescope optics from dust, pollen, cobwebs, and other observatory gremlins when your system is not in use.
Unlike the WandererCover range, the Eclipse is a motorised cover only. It does not include an illuminated flat panel, making it a simpler and lighter option for users who already have a separate flat-field solution or only need automated dust protection.
The Eclipse uses an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy body with a carbon-fibre dust cover, keeping the unit strong while minimising extra load on the telescope, lens hood, or mount. It can open to more than 270 degrees and automatically stops if it encounters an obstacle.
Control is available through ASCOM, INDI, and WandererEmpire software. With current firmware, the Eclipse also supports control via ZWO ASIAIR Plus, ToupTek StellaVita, and compatible DC-switch control setups.
Installation is simple using the included nylon cable ties, or the unit can be mounted to a custom bracket using the M3 threaded holes on the motor box. The range is available in sizes from 110 mm to 425 mm, covering everything from camera lenses to larger telescope setups.
Size note: choose a cover diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of your telescope lens barrel or dew shield, not just the optical aperture.
