The Wanderer FilterCube 2"/50 mm is a specialised 5-position motorised filter wheel designed for RASA and other prime-focus imaging systems where conventional filter wheels can introduce obstruction or spacing problems.

Its patented side-flip filter system provides four side-flip filter positions plus one dedicated luminance position, supporting both 2" mounted filters and 50 mm unmounted filters. This gives RASA users automated filter changes without the need for manual filter drawers.

With an outer diameter of only 114 mm, the FilterCube is designed to introduce no additional optical obstruction when used on compatible RASA 11 and RASA 36 systems. It can also be used with other prime-focus telescopes where sufficient backfocus and mechanical clearance are available.

The FilterCube includes an integrated manual camera angle adjuster and a rear 3-point tilt adjuster, helping simplify framing and sensor alignment without adding separate accessories. A clever access-slot design also allows collimation adjustment while the FilterCube remains installed.

Its internal anti-reflection design is optimised for fast optical systems, helping reduce common RASA imaging issues such as ghosting, halos, rainbow artefacts, internal reflections, and flat-frame calibration problems.

Compatibility note: the FilterCube is designed for RASA 11 and RASA 36 systems. HyperStar is not supported. For RASA 36 systems and some camera combinations, additional WandererAstro adapters may be required.
