The Wanderer White Dwarf is a lightweight manual flat-field panel designed for quick, reliable calibration frames without the complexity of a motorised cover.
Available in multiple illuminated diameters from 150 mm to 400 mm, the White Dwarf provides bright, even illumination for refractors, reflectors, SCTs, RCs, and larger imaging setups. It is especially useful for astrophotographers who want a simple handheld or manually positioned flat panel for taking flats before, during, or after an imaging session.
The panel uses an LED light source with a light guide plate and diffuser panel for smooth illumination, while the included manual dimmer gives fine brightness control. WandererAstro specifies flicker-free performance, with enough brightness for short flat exposures even through narrowband filters.
The carbon-fibre and aluminium-alloy construction keeps the unit light and durable, while the standard 12 V DC5521 power input makes it easy to power from common astronomy power supplies, battery boxes, or a WandererBox.
Size note: choose a panel with an illuminated diameter larger than the outside diameter of your telescope dew shield or front opening. For example, if your dew shield is close to 150 mm across, choose the 200 mm version for proper coverage.
