The WandererCover V4-EC is a professional motorised flat-field panel and dust cover designed for automated astrophotography setups.

Mounted to the front of your telescope, it protects your optics when closed and provides a controlled illuminated panel for capturing flat calibration frames. This makes it ideal for remote observatories, semi-permanent rigs, or imagers who want repeatable flats without manually placing a panel over the telescope.

The built-in micro-encoder provides real-time cover position feedback and repeatable open/close positioning, with support for custom opening and closing angles. The improved motor is designed for reliable operation in cold conditions, while the lightweight aluminium and carbon-fibre construction keeps the load manageable on the telescope.

The integrated flat panel offers 255 levels of high-frequency PWM brightness control, helping reduce banding and making it suitable for colour, mono, broadband, and narrowband imaging. A built-in heater helps keep the panel dry during humid nights or evaporate dew before closing the cover.

The WandererCover V4-EC supports ASCOM and INDI control, and with the latest firmware it can also be controlled using ZWO ASIAIR Plus, ToupTek StellaVita, or compatible DC-switch control setups. Please note that this non-IR version does not include handheld infrared remote control.

Size note: choose a WandererCover with a luminous diameter equal to or larger than the outside diameter of your telescope’s dew shield. For example, if your telescope has a dew shield outer diameter of 120 mm, choose the 125 mm model.
