The WandererCover V4-EC IR is a professional motorised flat-field panel and dust cover designed to automate one of the most repetitive parts of astrophotography: capturing flats and protecting your optics.
This IR version adds infrared remote control to the standard V4-EC design, allowing convenient operation in the field without needing a USB connection when manual remote control is preferred. For software-controlled setups, the WandererCover V4-EC IR is compatible with ASCOM, INDI, ZWO ASIAIR Plus, and ToupTek StellaVita.
The built-in micro-encoder provides real-time position feedback and repeatable open/close positioning, while the motorised cover can be opened or closed to custom angles. The integrated flat panel offers 255 brightness levels with high-frequency PWM dimming to reduce banding, making it suitable for everything from colour cameras to narrowband imaging.
A built-in dew heater helps keep the panel dry during humid nights or evaporate moisture before closing the cover, reducing the risk of trapping damp air against your optics. The lightweight aluminium and carbon-fibre construction keeps the unit practical for telescope-mounted use, with soft cushioning pads and cable ties included for installation.
Size note: choose a WandererCover with a luminous diameter equal to or larger than the outer diameter of your telescope’s dew shield. For example, if your telescope has a dew shield outer diameter of 120 mm, choose the 125 mm model.
