The ZEUS 455 series puts a very large, 61 MP Sony IMX455 sensor into a cooled astronomy camera body for wide-field deep-sky imaging. It pairs full-frame format resolution and 3.76 μm pixels with dual-stage cooling and a substantial DDR3 buffer to stabilise long exposures and high-data transfers.

This camera uses a Sony IMX455 sensor with 9576 x 6388 pixels and 3.76 μm pixel size, yielding about 61 megapixels on a 36 × 24 mm imaging area. That combination gives very high resolution and a large diagonal that benefits wide-field refractors and larger-format imaging trains.
A two-stage TEC cooling system can reach roughly 35 °C below ambient, reducing thermal noise on long exposures. The camera specifies a maximum cooler draw and a dedicated cooler power rating to support stable temperature control during extended imaging runs.
A 512 MB DDR3 buffer is included to stabilise data streams, helping prevent frame drops and lowering readout noise even on slower hosts. The camera offers Type-C USB 3.0 connectivity with backward compatibility to USB 2.0 for flexible system setups.
A four-point adjustable rear sensor tilt plate lets you correct field curvature and corner tilt precisely, with a high-density sponge pad to prevent side-light leakage. The octagonal, anodised body is described as mechanically robust and thermally considerate for cooled operation.
The camera uses a native 16-bit ADC for up to 65,536 tonal levels, supporting finer tonal transitions and colour depth. Dual sampling modes include a normal mode for higher frame rates and a low-noise HCG mode that reduces read noise (specifying a range down toward about 1.27–1.5 electrons at the low end).
