The Vaonis Vespera Hygrometer Sensor monitors local temperature and humidity conditions to help prevent condensation and fog from forming on the telescope's optics.

Automatic dew prevention

When environmental conditions approach the point where condensation may form, the sensor automatically activates Vespera's built-in demisting system. Gentle heating around the front optics helps keep the lens clear during cold or humid observing sessions.

Maintain image sharpness

Dew and condensation can reduce image contrast, soften stars and cause more captured frames to be rejected during processing. By keeping the optics clear, the hygrometer helps maintain more consistent focus and image quality throughout the session.

Compact and unobtrusive

Measuring less than 13 mm, the sensor fits discreetly inside the Vespera optical arm and can remain installed while compatible filters are being used.

Compatibility

The hygrometer is intended for Vespera I, Vespera II and Vespera Passengers. Vespera 3 and Vespera Pro 2 already include an integrated anti-fog system and do not require this accessory.
