The Vaonis Vespera Solar Filter allows you to use your Vespera for safe daytime observation and imaging of the Sun. Once installed, Solar Mode in the Singularity app guides you through the observing process and provides a near real-time view of solar activity.

Observe sunspots and solar activity

The filter reduces the intense light from the Sun to a safe level for the instrument, allowing visible sunspots to be observed and photographed. By capturing images over several days or weeks, changes in sunspot groups and solar activity can be followed over time.

Dedicated Solar Mode

The Singularity app provides guided solar observation and allows images to be captured directly from the observation screen. The live display uses very short exposures to provide an almost real-time view of the solar surface.

Designed for safe use

The filter uses a glass attenuation element specifically designed for Vespera. Always ensure the solar filter is installed correctly before pointing the telescope toward the Sun and follow the guidance provided by the Singularity app.
